looks like retirement is getting closer...

I bought my C2 in late December 2012. My dealer told me it was sold out, and they had contacted Clavia in Denmark. Here they were told that they wouldn't ship any new C2's anymore. So I bought the last demo version they had in the shop. I may have been beaten up a little, since customers can be rough ;) But the price was good and I haven't regret it. It is such a nice organ!

I got mine in early October 2011, just before the C2d came out. I agree with you about the C2 : it's way better, for the price, than any of us should expect. I got it knowing that, if i only played at home, i would've been happy with a Roland VK77, a Korg BX3, or even a Viscount OB5. The C2 is light years beyond those, & , in time, will be superseded by numerous clones . The differences, however, between the sound of the clones has become so subtle . How you PLAY the clone ( in this case, the C2 ) makes a huge difference . There are those players, however, who strive to hear the most intricate increases in authenticity, that i wonder how much they are interested in music for it's own sake. What is fun is to go into forums & product reviews on clones going back to the mid-90's, & read about player's enthusiastic thoughts on the 'authenticity; of a roland vk7,viscount ob3 squared, or the Voce V3. at some point, you have to accept the axe you have & concentrate on the MUSIC>

If I am not mistaken, which is always a distinct possibility, and in some ways, a dead certainty, Nord's website no longer lists the C2.
I know what happened of course. Nord's management was sitting around the boardrrom, when a long-distance phone call came in on the (naturally) red phone. "Mooser just bought a C2" The President of Nord than jumped to his feet and shouted "Now! Release the C2D! I want him orphaned!"

The one I'm waiting for is the C2D2! It'll do everything! Or will they call it the C3? Lotta things they gotta consider.
