New video of my Trio
Hi all,
Once in a while I get to perform for the Jazzgroove Association here in Sydney.
Here's a video from our gig this Tuesday night.
Performing my tune 'Golden Orb', with Tim Firth (Drums) and Simon Relf (Guitar).
My Rig is my trusty Nord C1 into my 1962 Leslie 145 - slow motors disengaged of course!
Hope you dig.
Darren

Darren, your video is blocked on my work ( & only) computer. I'll watch it tomorrow on my Mother's computer. I'm excited ! The Nord organ really records well !

Wow, great playing! Love that slow groove.
And the Nord sounds absolutely terrific through the Leslie!

Re: New video of my Trio
Saw your video, Darren. Very effective use of SPACE (something i need to work on !). thoughtful phraseology ! The Rhythmatics & interplay between the 3 of you quite exemplary ! The Nord really sings ! BRAVO !

I really like the long revdown time you get with a one speed leslie without the brake option.
And the quite dramatic effect when you go from stop and the motors just start to turn.
Having a motion sound pro 3x as well I have come to understand how important the bottom rotor is in spreading the sound. Sometimes i take my 110 lesle to compliment the motion sound top unit. Sounds much better than when I am lazy and I only bring the combo bas amp (light weight rig)
Nice playing btw
