I'd like to plug my NORD C2D into GARAGE BAND, running on my MAC. As I understand it, the USB port on the C2D only handles UPDATE functions, and so I would like to get a device which will accept MIDI IN and output what GARAGE BAND wants to see on a USB.
Your comments, advice and experience are welcome. [I've learned that I can count on the information I get on this Forum.]

There are many reliable midi-USB interfaces available on the market in the $30-40 range which will do this. The M-Audio UNO is one such device that is in wide use.
