Midi problems with C1

Postby gerlema » 24 Sep 2013, 23:38

Hi all,

I have a custom made 25-note pedalboard. Its midi board is made by Midi Gadgets Boutique, a very professional company in Bulgaria.
The pedals work perfectly with Yamaha, Casi and other branches but, for some reason, they just do not work properly with my C1.
Sometimes it actually works and it's great, but then, on the same day, it stops working. I've tested everything (voltage, connectivity in midi cables, ALL is ok). There must be a problem in compatibility with the C1. Sometimes I plug and unplug the thing for an hour and then it starts working all of a sudden.
Again: this only happens with the C1. No other keyboard behaves like this.
I tried every possible protocol (device start up order, and so on). Nothing seems to work.

Wrote to the technical support but they seem to be busy...

Any help will be appreciated.

Does the pedal get the power from the MIDI connector? I think that Nords specify somewhere in the manuals not supporting power via MIDI (which was never the intention of the MIDI standard anyway). If that is the case, maybe you can add a power supply to your pedalboard.
