Joey De Francesco at the Nord c2d

Postby rippinux » 10 Nov 2013, 08:29

Last week, on Facebook, the Nord site on Facebook was showing pictures of Joey D playing a Nord C2D in Stockholm (?). Today, on Google, there are other pictures of him at the C2d, along with him shaking the hands of a person associated with Nord. Is Joey D now endorsing Nord ?

not, but Joey is that good diplomat and friend with Pierre Sward gave a concert in Stockholm, home of Nord Clavia, and could only play on Nord C2D.

12:05 - Joe D talks about the C2d.

The pedals stopped worked at one point. Being in Stockholm the Nord ppl rushed of and got out a new set during the break.
That is fast service :)

Joe D handles the situation like the total Pro he is and works around the problem like a master

Nice ballad work after the brake with pedals ;)

V1 one vibrato can sound good if you know how to use it.

I am produd being Swedish and hearing him play an instrument whose development I have followed closely since the C1 - I have all three - C1 / C2 / C2d.

I enjoy the C1 when i get to play it - (it is in a church in stockholm) It has a distinct character of its own - it has the meanest leakage model of all three.

I read the thread about Joey playing a Nord C2D over at Keyboard forum. Wow, an awful lot of people got the vapors over it. Why is everybody so worried over which organ Joey endorses?
But I have a funny feeling that it won't be the last time he uses a Nord C2D at a gig. I think he will encounter it more and more often.

I recently saw these 8 YouTube clips of JD's concert in Sweden. Also wasn't sure if there was any professional affiliation between him and Clavia but here's my bottom line: Regardless - Joey D is K - I - N - G !!!, and has made our beloved C2D sound as killer as any demo I've heard, to date. Can you tell, I'm still on my honeymoon trip with my Nord. I'm fortunate to have a couple of good old TOA keyboard amps in the music room, from the old days. Both with horns and 15" woofers. They're set up diagonally in adjacent corners, with the C2D in the middle. Left out to one side, Right to the other. Talk about your Stereo Heaven!!! In the same room, I have killer '57 B3 with 122 Les. I love that beast too but have to say on any given day, I simply cannot play one without spending equal time on the other. :keyboard:
