How sturdy is the music stand?

Postby jonas » 21 Dec 2013, 10:39

I use some effect pedals with my c2d as part of my performance on stage (boss re-20 and eventide space), but so far I've had to put them on the floor or on a chair. I'm thinking about getting the music stand to put the effect pedals on, but I'm concerned about the sturdiness of the stand. Do any of you guys use the music stand with your c1/c2/c2d? Is it robust enough to take about 4 kilograms of weight?

Definitely! Or sell the C2D and get a C2 (There you could place them on the panel) .
Joke. But the music stand is stable enough .

Ok, thank you! I'm actually not using the drawbars very much, so I'd get by perfectly with a C2, but they're nice to have around anyway. :)

The stand is pretty sturdy. I'll have my laptop on one side and a bunch of books on the other without any issues.

I find that the stand is sturdy enough for even the thicker real books or fake books. I also have a drum machine resting on it kind of "vertically" which requires some button pushing - all supported by the stand, no problem. I am noticing however, the rivets that fasten the mounting pins and hardware to the bottom of the stand are beginning to loosen a bit. I may drill them out, and replace with small machine screws and lock nuts.
