Hi everyone!
I'm currently studying Hammond organ and I own a C2D, which works fine!, however, I am thinking of buying the PK27 or some other bass pedal board to start playing basslines with my feet.
I stumble across the difference in design between the 'original' hammond pedals and the Nord PK27. Will the PK27 influence my playing technique and will it be possible all together to learn to play basslines with my feet using the C2D+PK27?
Thanks in advance!

Re: C2D + PK27 for Jazz
The biggest difference between Hammond pedals and PK27 is where the pedals pivot from. The Hammond pedals pivot from under the bench, but the PK27 pivot at the top of the key (in the black box). Technique wise it's all the same toe-heel business, but comes down to personal preference. Personally I like the Hammond style, and if you're handy with just a little wood working and soldering, you could build a set of pedals for far less money than the Hammond or PK27 costs. I spent $200 on all the parts and a weekend building my Hammond style pedals (I used a beater set of pedals off of eBay for $100).

How did you "midify" them? What controller did you use?

I used a Highly Liquid MIDI CPU to wire all of the switches under the pedals. Here's an album of photos when I did the job, in probably 2011 or so.

You may also look at ready-made alternatives such as the Viscount MIDI Pedalboards http://www.viscountinstruments.com/clas ... ds-12.html , the one from Keyborgan http://www.keyborgan.com/products/pedals25/, the ones made by this guy here http://www.pedamidikit.org ,...
They will all work with the C2D

Thanks for the replies!
I've started searching for a way to build my own midi-pedal.
@ebowen4221: will the different pivot place be a problem when, for example, playing a gig on a 'real' hammond organ?

I'm looking into this one. Seems that the other links don't have pricing which makes me a bit suspicious. I'll probably also check out ebay.

Technique wise, no. But it does feel different.

The third (pedamidikit) has prices in its "How to Buy" section, Viscount instead is a main brand and you need to check their US distributors; Keyb Organ used to have a distributor in US (a troubled story), currently it seems to have none...
