C2 won't accept MIDI volume messages

Hi,

According to the manual I should be able to send MIDI volume messages (controller 7) to the Nord C2 which should affect the overall volume, but nothing is happening. The MIDI CC mode is set to Send and Receive, as is the Prog, Change mode. The manual refers to page XX which I can't find. Can anyone help?
