This is the right place if your topic concerns different Nord Keyboards, you are not sure which one is the right one for you, etc.

Do you think Nord will implement USB-C in eg Nord Electro 7 and Nord Stage 4 and would you like it?

Re: USB-C in future Nord keyboards ??? [Poll]

Silly question but, no and no. I see no point. It would cost more to have USB-C and serves no useful purpose.

OK, if writing to flash is slow, but reading is fast, why does it take so long to do a complete backup? Or is it a different 'reading' we are talking about here? At 12Mbit/s a 900MB backup should be about 10min (is that right?) but it takes about 3 times that or am I missing something crucial? (Most likely I am...). Thanks.

12Mbits is the max theoretical speed for USB 1.1, the actual one is 6-7Mbits typical/max

If you count 1Gbyte add also the need to backup the Samples memory you get pretty close to the time it takes.

Now, being able to use Bluetooth to manage my board without a cable, well -- that's interesting.

Now that pricked my ears up a little. A form of wireless connectivity would be something I would endorse all day long. How hard can it be.

USB has been with us for twenty years.

Wireless standards change all the time. I don't think adding wireless into the machines makes any sense considering their longevity.

Also, wireless USB has been around since 2009. Why aren't we all using it? How hard can it be?

Good point. A faster USB protocol might not make much difference in terms of writing new sounds into the Nord, but could make a big difference for backup speed. In that case, it would be nice to at least see a move from USB 1.1 to USB 2.0.
