Today suddenly my NE4D does not transmit the sustain pedal (it's just a standard pedal,not the Nord brand) over MIDI. Notes work fine and local sustain works fine. My MKS-70 midi message light does not light up when I press the pedal. Has this ever happened to anyone else here?

Have you checked if the Control Change Mode in the MIDI Menu is still set to Send or Send/Receive?

Sorry, false alarm. This was due to a change made in all (!) of my MKS-70 patches due to a bug in some software I was testing. The Nord works fine, thank you…
