This is the right place if your topic concerns different Nord Keyboards, you are not sure which one is the right one for you, etc.

I've programmed one of the push able encoders to send an arbitrary Midi number to Bome. The program then converts that to the appropriate patch changes for the keyboards. It sends them when know push that encoder. That way I can also queue the next song for rapid switching.

While I shunned the concept of integrating a computer in my setup for fear of it failing out Bome has in my experience been very reliable. The only time the setup has failed at am unfortunate time was when the computer-less Midi backup line I had bugged and made everything not work (old Midi box broke). I haven't had it functional nor needed ever since.

It also widely expanded the stuff I could do with Midgoi. The flexibility is pretty amazing.

This is al new to me (Bome Midi translator).
I will look it up for sure!

And Pablo, your suggestion months ago about using the SLM on the NE5D was perfect. My only issue is must have a PC to connect and move things around. Or am I missing something? Besides, Set Lists can change on the fly - & unless I am making those changes ... it puts me in a HOLD ON & WAIT mode with the band.

Hi CJ (yeah just call me Bart),

I use the ipad (not a PC) for sending the PC's.
But since I own the NE4D, I'm not sure what the PC's are for the NE5. Neither for controlling the setlist mode?

Maybe the normal PC's for controlling the normal patches are the same.
I've posted an excel file somewhere on the forum which translates Nord programs to midi program changes.
Maybe that could help you?

I was thinking about making some youtube movies about this, but it will cost a lot of time, so I'm not sure if I should do that.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I downloaded the SLM app and entering my song list, patch numbers, and printing out custom setlists is going to be great organizational tool in itself. I will probably look into carrying the iPad to gigs and have it change the presets for me down the road, if I can figure that out.

Yes, it will take some time to put everything in SLM, but it's worth the effort.
Just let me know if you need any help!
