Re: Official Nord red wooden stand
.Elegant matte laquered Keyboard Stand in a partially solid wood construction for excellent stability
Should we be concerned about the "partially solid" construction?

Re: Official Nord red wooden stand
I thought it would be at something like 350 $ ...
It is no nice ...
Maybe I will try to built one myself ... or convert a cheaper stand from an other brand ?
Did someone try something like that ?
For those who will buy it, it seems to be a beautiful object
Cheers

Re: Official Nord red wooden stand
Hello,
Took the challenge to make up a stand for my new nord piano 3 88 key. If your interested in having one made let me know, an economical alternative to Nord version.
Feet, sides and back panel are made of solid maple. For strength, feet are mortise and tendon joined to the sides. Back is pocket screwed together for knock down.
Bottom plate accommodates Nord triple pedal.

Woooaaaahhh !
The level of finish is outstanding !
How do you fix the horizontal red bar to the vertical ??? I don't see any screw on the inside or external vertical red wood... ???
And how did you make thoses "foots" down to the ground ?
Seriously that's a crazy job, I will show you mine in a few days (black shiny finish), i've done one too.
Cheers

Re: Official Nord red wooden stand
Yes, it looks really good. Wouldn't it be a good idea to join the two columns at the top, too? Knocking the free end column could force it out of place if it is kept joined only at the base. That column looks like a long lever with a fulcrum too far away. Maybe a thin metal strip screwed in the inside joining both columns at the top would still be invisible with the instrument on top and prevent a major musical disaster.
