Re: Nord Uneven things..
Actually, around 4 of the drawbars on my 5D I bought brand new a few months ago were bent sideways a little when they arrived despite all the factory packing. Hard to see how it could have happened in transit, since the box was not damaged. i just bent them back by applying pressure on the side. Not a big deal, but i wouldn't discount the OP's story.

Thanks for posting the video, Mr G. Now i know how my drawbars got bent. Lars, my assembler, leaned onto the knobs with that stick to push them in, and he weighs 125 kilos.

Funny, between key master and AdamStage, I was afraid for one minute that they would be starting a new "Guerre de 100 ans"...100 years war....Between France and England....But no, finally, they solved the issue, great, no more "Brexit" then....
Just joking....
To come back to the topic, I don't have any Nord with physical drawbars but I have two Ocean Beach drawbars and some could be just a bit twisted but that never bothered me....As long as they work well...

The single main reason I upgraded from the Stage 2 compact to the Stage 3 compact is the addition of physical drawbars. I swore when I bought the old one in 2014 that I'd buy a new Stage the second they added drawbars.
I'm more than happy with all the other advancements — the board is pretty near perfect for my needs and preferences now — but the drawbars were the justification.
The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…

Sounds like a perfect justification to me -- whatever it takes to upgrade is a perfect justification

Re: Nord Uneven things..
Very late to the conversation, but I had a minor issue with a new NE6 73HP. One key sounded like there was a gap between the plastic on the key surface and the underlying wooden key. This resulted in a "clack" sound when playing the keyboard at home. You would not notice it playing live, but for home use it was most irritating. A major reason for the move from the Yamaha MOXF8 was the feel, and sound, of the keybed. It played like a toy. I am thrilled with the Nord and the Fatar keybed. I probably would not have taken issue with this if it was a used keyboard, but since this NE was within the 45 day return period from Guitar Center, it has been replaced and I am waiting for the new keyboard to arrive. Anybody familiar with this minor issue? Thanks...tony
