Hey all, I have run into a problem I don't recall seeing before. For some reason new sample programs I am creating don't respond to keyboard velocity (they always play at the same volume). I have tried setting the velocity options in the "Samp Preset" menu but that doesn't seem to be working. Any help you guys could offer would be great. Thanks.

Have you set the Amp Env Velocity switch On in the unit ? If you initialised the synth section the it probably is Off.
I also found that the filter velocity also helps to make the sounds more dynamic.

I did not, but now I have and I see that fixes it. Funny though, that is not what I expected that control to do - I expected it to change the speed the amplitude envelope opened at (as this would be the normal function of a control labeled Amp Env Velocity). I can't believe that I never noticed before that the samples weren't playing back at velocity-determined volume. Huh.

Sound, which I create with my own samples do not respond to velocity on my Nord Piano 2. No matter what I do in sample ditor. Is it normal?

Hi, don't you have to activate the finction on the np2 ?

Solution: With the VEL DYN checkbox checked in sample editor all is working correctly.
