Hello everyone,
As usual at christmas, we are waiting for a Christmas Gift from Nord (I am, don't you ?).

There is not so much new things since this summer with the Digitals series and the (great) Amber.

Do u think it will happend this year ?
If yes, new samples ? New Piano ? New Ep's ?

What's your pronostic ?

I woud like a new clavinet with proper release samples.
Also an XL Rhodes.

I would like to see Nord release a Nord Sample Editor for the Stage 3, hopefully with a capability to allow existing nsmp (older format used with Stage 2 and Electro 3-4-5) to be loaded into a Stage 3. I would like to see this even though I don't own a Stage 3.

My second request would be an acoustic piano patch which cuts in mono, for use in rock/covers bands. The Royal Grand was released almost a year ago, and was a great addition in that it solved the mono problem for solo and quieter playing.

Have you tried the Amber Upright yet? I think it’s the best piano Nord has released! Works great in a rock band!

The Amber Upright did not pass the test for our Joe Cocker cover of "The Letter" - I basically rip off the piano part into from his live version. I will grant that, unlike some of the other Nord acoustic piano patches, the Amber Upright did not have the artificial-sounding weirdness in the octave below middle "C" (in single speaker mode). But the Amber Upright's low end and low-mid part of the keyboard did not have enough meat - maybe because of the instrument it was sampled from.

At what date was released the "Christmas Nord Gift" last year ? Was it the Velvet ?

I’d be happy if the entire sample archive was released for the Stage 3. There’s a couple of samples I’d really like - for one, I haven’t been able to recreate the terrific “Tom Sawyer” preset from the Stage 2.
