Re: No news since 2 months
truth be told, I can at this moment honestly say that I ate spaghetti three times in the past week.
I do not understand this obsession for "news." I am a "deferred gratification" kind of person, so perhaps more patient than others. I'd rather see news releases which are few and far between, but meaningfully significant when they come, to some meaningless PR bullshot clamoring for my attention every other day. Perhaps me getting to be an old fart has something to do with it.
From my nearly seven year history working with Nord I can generalize to say that there is usually something under the "Holiday Tree" for the Piano Library. And then NAMM is just a few weeks later. If it's worth having, it's worth waiting for.
bless, pablo

Tell me about spaghetti, Pablo
I also don't understand this continuous hunger for "news" (the "latest new thing", the "ultimate solution", which lasts a few weeks or less...): down with news up with the MUSIC!

Re: No news since 2 months
Yes I totally agree with everything Pablo and Maxpiano said, let's just make music with these great tools that we have. However being a new member to the Nord family, I am always up for what may show under the "holiday tree" in the Nord piano library department. I remember Nord being pretty consistent with giving a gift during the holiday season and always wishing I was part of the family, lol.

And remember that any new present under the tree does not render obsolete the wonderful toys we already have.
I'm constantly rediscovering the pianos in the library.
I have to go practice now.

Re: No news since 2 months
Hi everybody
It's just the pleasure to get and try something new.
The Nefertiti was very good and trying new samples is always fun. That is a part of Nord fun, even if the instrument has already enought to play with.
That said, the last Nefetiti is the ep I use the most, with the Mark V. So I am always impatient to discover more ...
But the truth is that I was wondering if Pablo had eaten his spaguetti again
Cheers,
De fursaK

>Nord being pretty consistent with giving a gift <
Just to add some salt to the soup, I think terming new samples as "gifts" is misleading. Part of Clavia's business plan is to regularly provide new, free sample options. That helps maintain a devoted and consistent clientele, and justify a premiere pricing structure.
When we call them "gifts" it suggests that Clavia is a) doing something just to be nice and b) has no commercial obligation to do so. I would argue that neither applies.
It also bears remarking that some of Clavia's older samples are showing their age, when compared to the newer ones. So yes, there are lots to choose from, but not all of the options remain as desirable as they once were.
