It's my favorite upright piano sample together with the mellow upright.

Yes, until the next one
This board is full of threads proclaiming the same for each previous release. Oh Bosie, how the mighty have fallen.

Is there *anything* you ever appreciate about Clavia?

Re: New Piano Amber Upright
I finally had the chance to play this piano with my band. To my ears, it worked very well. It blends when you want to lay back, and can also stand out strong for solos. For an upright, it's got a nice warmth to it, with some nice clear sustaining notes in the critical areas. At the same time, it can cut pretty well for accents and solos. As a bonus, there is a slight bit of upright "character" that makes these pianos so much fun to play.
Big band performance tomorrow. I'm going to put it through it's paces then.
With regard to saving memory space, the Amber can serve as a suitable replacement for both the Queen and the Black uprights, if you have them loaded for different purposes. So while the Amber does require a bit of RAM, you can discard two other pianos, so it probably nets out.

"Maybe Gambold is French"....It's a "cliché"...I'm Fench and I'm not whining all the time....Or is it because I'm in Canada for too long?....Anyway, most of the time, when I see Gambold's name in a post, I just go to see what he has "invented" again so, maybe we all need someone who can say loudly what everyone else he's thinking...(yes, that's my Canadian part that speaks now....)
We could say that it's normal that everyone could be excited and enthusiastic about a new sample, we are human, we all forget quite fast about our new toys compared to the old ones (they even made a movies about it, isn't it?) but I found in love with the Bosie and he hasn't left my Stage 2 since the beginning....Ok, I don't have room for a lot of Piano Samples anyway and it might remind me, just with the name, how strong the exoerience was when I played one for the first time (and the only one....) at a Music Mess in Francfort in September 1989....
I was working for Yamaha Music and my boss was not very happy that I was liking the Bosie more than the Yamaha's...

Just joking here: although my profile doesn't display it, I'm French too so it's a bit hitting myself anyway I certainly did not want to hurt anyone, sorry if that was clumsy.
Where in Canada do you live? My brother lives in MTL.
