Hello
For some days ago my Samb-lib started not to work. I tried a few things and I found out that if I put a jack half into the "control pedal" input the Samb-lib worked. But when I remove the jack from the input the sound dissapears... It's a Nord Electro 3
So what do I do wrong and what can I do to fix it?
From a new on Nord - Anton from Denmark.

Maybe play around with the control pedal type on the system menu.

No just experiment with other control pedal setting with it disconnected.

Re: My Samb-Lib doesn't work...
Sorry Anton,
My comment was mainly directed in response to jfenton's comment. I don't really perceive that changing the setting for Control Pedal Type will be especially meaningful in trying to diagnose this behavior (which is REALLY STRANGE, btw). Changing the setting for Control Pedal Mode would be more meaningful, I think.
The Control Pedal Mode assigns which things will respond to control pedal movements. If you currently have it set so that samples will respond to this, then change that setting so that it's organ only. Does this behavior with missing sample volume persist? If not, then that is a useful clue.
You did say that this works okay for you with a plug pushed in halfway, yes? I have to wonder whether perhaps someone, once upon a time, bumped into a plug protruding from that receptacle, or perhaps stepped on a cable, causing internal damage to the 1/4" jack itself, shorting out some contacts and tricking the Nord into thinking that there's a pedal attached in the heel down position. Would be worthwhile having someone open it up and inspect that for damage.
Bless, Pablo
