My New Nords

Post by cphollis »

Actually, my older Nords made new :)

I had fallen very much behind in checking out all the new samples on the Nord site: new grands, new uprights, new digital pianos, new synth samples, etc. etc. Maybe two years behind? Probably about 40 or so new thingies I wanted to try.

Downloaded them all, and spent five hours updating my Nord Piano 2 and Nord Electro 4D. Amazing! They're like entirely new keyboards! For free!

My Nords were great values years ago when I bought them. I've worked them hard, and they've never complained. And now, a whole new set of sounds! Hard to explain to people that particular cool aspect of Nords.
I think I have gear issues ....

So which new grand and upright pianos did you add? Just curious.

Same for me here.
I upgraded my Stage2 thanks to the sellout prices on the last S2EX.
So I have 500 additional MBs to fill up, and this is the perfect chance to try out all the new pianos including the latest digital.

I've been toying with the process for a few days now, going through all the new and old samples.
The Silver and Velvet Grands are definitely keepers, but I'm enjoying very much "rediscovering" some oldies, especially among the uprights.
The Black, Romantic and Rain pianos are just lovely, remind me of my old uprights on which I studied!

Yes it's hard. it is understandable when you have got a Nord Keyboard, an empty box fully customizable with high quality sound engines, with the good management it becomes a tailor made keyboard, unique in the market panorama.
Jointly with the huge official library, plus the users program/samples....a huge winning point.
