Have you considered you may have entered The Twilight Zone?

Sorry not to be able to be more helpful, seems like this might be a hardware defect?

Pretty sure this isn't it, but just to be sure- you're talking about programs and not samples, right? It's normal for the keyboard to skip over empty sample slot numbers if there's nothing in them.

OK, but have you tried to "Store as.." something on those slots?

ok here is what I notice in the program list - please tell me if this is normal - I have 200 programs:
A1, A2, A3, A4 ,A5 then skips to A11,A12,A13,A14,A15 then skips to A21,A22,A23,A24,A25 then skips to A31,A32,A33,A34,A35 then skips to A41,A42,A43,A44,A45 then skips to A51,A52,A53,A54,A55 then skips to A61,A62,A63,A64,A65 then skips A71,A72,A73,A74,A75 then skips to A81,A82,A83,A84,A85 then skips to A91,A92,A93,A94,A95 ..... same goes for the B,C, and D bank I guess if this is the way its organized I don't have a problem
thanks for all who helped

Yup, that's it, which you can confirm by looking at the images on pages 8 and 16 of the manual.

If Banks A-D had programs in every slot 1-100 you'd have 400, not 200, program slots.

Looks like they do it that way in order to lay them out in groups of five, corresponding to the five program buttons on the front panel.
