So I picked up Keyscape from Spectrasonics - https://www.spectrasonics.net/products/ ... /index.php
The Custom LA Grand (a heavily modified Jim Wilson C7) is quite remarkable. I am finding it darker and richer than most of the Nord Grands out of the box. It has velocity curves pre-programmed for all major vendors so I'm using the one for the Stage 2 and that seems to be working pretty well. 32 layers of velocity samples and multiple round-robins so extremely detailed. No string resonance, but lots of other tweakable parameters and top notch FX/EQ. Not sure yet how well it is going to cut through the mix in a live situation, also the load time is not insignificant but you can start playing it before it fully loads.
Of special interest to me was the LA Custom Rhodes (the famous "E") - they got their hands on one of Eddie Reynolds special pianos (not the "E" itself but another he worked on) - it is absolutely gorgeous. Also included are very good patches from the MKS-20, MK-80, JD-800 and the absolute best CP-70 I've ever played other than the real thing. Lots of other mainstays (Wurlies, Clavs, Pianets etc) along with some very cool more obscure instruments, (3 octave portable carillon, anyone?) all sampled in amazing detail. The entire library is 72GB on my SSD drive.
Overall I'm finding the NP2 to be a great controller for this piano collection. It won't replace everything in my NP2 by any means, I see it as a nice complement to what the Nord offers. I plan on layering some of the Rhodes and digital pianos with the Nord pianos.
Will post some audio if anyone is interested.

Re: Keyscape using NP2 as controller
Very interested!
I have owned a NS2 for a while now, quite happy with its meat/potatoes approach but also entertaining getting more and 'better' rhodes through Keyscape..

Re: Keyscape using NP2 as controller
The Rhodes models and the Vintage Vibe in Keyscape are by far the best soft e-pianos I've ever played. The Custom E Rhodes is pure butter to play. For me the NP2 keybed is perfect for these.
I'm still not sure about the C7 Grand yet - still tinkering with the velocity curves. I find myself going back to the Nord grands.
Overall though Keyscape is a great addition to my sonic arsenal. The depth of detail is astonishing in all the included instruments.
