And people keep replying that the only way to do this on a Nord is to assign them to different slots on the Stage. Which doesn't seem to address the problem, unless I'm missing something.

I do not understand what is the problem. In the NS2, you can play slot A, hold with the pedal, switch to slot B and play more notes and sound from Slot A keeps sounding while the pedal is down.

That's right... if you're using only one slot to create your sound, for example using basic sounds like piano, but not when you've created your own sounds with the combination of different samples using the 2 slots for that sound.Mr_-G- wrote:I do not understand what is the problem. I've a synth sound (Synth 1) created combining sounds in the two slots, A and B. I want to change to another program (Synth 2, also using the two slots to create the sound) but I want to let sounding the latest note from Synth 1 pressing sustain pedal while I change to the next problam. Well... then it seems it's not possible. When I change the program to Synth 2, the mantain note of Synth 1 simply cuts, although I'm pressing the sustain pedal or maintain pushed the keys. This is horrible! Too bad there is not option to can do this...

Well, yes, but that has been thoroughly clarified:ChoPraTs wrote:That's right... if you're using only one slot to create your sound, for example using basic sounds like piano, but not when you've created your own sounds with the combination of different samples using the 2 slots for that sound.Mr_-G- wrote:I do not understand what is the problem. You can only get the previous sound to sustain if you switch slots WITHIN a program.
Since you're using two synth engines, you're using BOTH slots, and are switching programs, rather than slots within a program. That…doesn't work.

There is a workaround using an external reverb unit but I don't know how efficient this is.
