I'm happy Nord haven't released a new Stage
I'm still happy with my NS2. It has everything I need. It's still a compromise: It's not the world best emulation of clav, rhodes, grand piano and hammond but it does it very well and it weights just 10kg. Synth section and effects are also fine. I'm really enjoying playing Hammond C3 over Leslie 122, rhodes and yamaha upright but it would be a nightmare if I would have to transport them myself. I also favor NS2 over any other electronic keyboard I have played. Finally I like the idea my instrument is the latest model from Clavia. So I'm happy they haven't released a new model. Thanks Clavia!

Re: I'm happy Nord haven't release a new Stage
You've got +12 months of happiness - but no more IMHO: Nord Stage 3 will probably - and logically - be presented at Winter NAMM 2015.
BTW, please note that the NS2 could be (will be in a near future?) improved regarding Rhodes sounds without any hardware change, just by loading new samples - as they recently did it for Wurly .
On the contrary, this is not the case for the B3 emulation, which may depend on hardware specific devices. I have some difficulties understanding that point, since other emulators, e.g. VB3, rely on pure software (including the Leslie sim) while giving better results than Nord instruments

I'm truly bummed they didn't only because I was forced to sell my stage 2 six months ago and I was looking forward to snatching up another at a reduced 2nd hand price.

Stop comparing the Kronos and the Stage.
The Kronos is a touchscreen Linux-based computer in a keyboard, with all the possibilities and necessary complexities that implies.
Hook up your MacBook running MainStage to the Nord Stage, and you're looking at a similar-class device.
The Nord is great for in so many ways because it is NOT trying to be a Kronos.

Re: I'm happy Nord haven't released a new Stage
The fact Clavia has not released a new Stage means they still see good sales numbers for their current Stage product. It's a pure marketing thing.
Korg Kronos is great. You can get more out of it then from any other keyboard available on the market. I would call it the best instrument for studio. But it's not a stage instrument for at least few reasons: not portable enough, long boot time and no instant nature of controls.
Nord Electro and Nord Stage are most popular instruments demanded on stage. You can easily proof that by checking statistics of what keyboards are normally requested in riders. Korg Kronos is almost never in these lists.
I was considering Kronos for my home/studio but as mentioned above a laptop/midi controller combination is much more advanced - you can get more out of VST/DAW on a powerful laptop.

I noticed Clavia increase a price of a following generation of each product by 20-30%. The previous generation of Stage was about 400-500 Euro cheaper than NS2. So the Stage 3 could be around 3500 Euro. So It could be still worth to buy a Stage 2 ))
The price increase is mainly caused by inlution and R&D I guess. The labor cost, land rent and tax are pretty high in Sweden. It will be interesting to see if Clavia would partially move production to Asia at some point of time. They could do it for some entry level products.

They have no need to.
Their books are full; their personnel is well-paid.
Outsourcing production would enable them to increase output at potentially lower prices, but would introduce logistical and quality control issues.
I think they're quite happy being a fairly small, rich company. As are we, as customers.

If I remember well , the original Stages were 3000€ when they came out... Prices went down when NS2 were announced.

And how would the average person have access to such statistics? I did a google search to no avail ...there are plenty of individual stage riders in pdf files, etc...but no statistics.
