Hey,

I'm having trouble finding an answer to this on the internet, and so I thought i should ask here.
I have a nord stage classic and I don't know how high it should be when I'm playing standing.

Should I aim for a 90° angle between my upperarm and forearm?

I'd appreciate any sorts of tips on playing in a standing position.

If you're a stand up player, it really doesn't matter how you play, because all serious players sit down.

Come on, sit down!

On a serious note, I'd want the keys at about an inch below my belly button to let my arms hang right.

Replicate the angle you prefer while playing seated, or just find what's comfortable.

Your forearm should be roughly parallel to the ground ie in about the same plane as the actual keyboard. The forearm can also fall slightly to the keyboard, so that the wrist is slightly lower than the elbow, but never the other way around - that leads to bad hand positioning. Plenty of keyboard players play standing, and good posture and positioning do matter in the long term.

I've actually seen a couple players lately that have the keyboards sitting at a 45degree upward angle (keyboard up with the back of the unit down). I had never really considered this until I saw it twice in a week watching some live footage stuff.

It really is whatever you find comfortable. Move it around a bit and figure out the best height and angle for you. Personally, I just sit, not because I'm serious but its just more comfortable

Depending which type of band I play in, I might sit down or stand up. I do notice a difference in my playing- I'm not as accurate standing up, but then I find I groove a bit more too! I go with a slight fall through my forearms, but then with a two tier set-up, my top board is the opposite anyway.
I say just get comfortable, try it out for a couple of hours straight playing, if it hurts when you're through, maybe try a different height.

I agree with RedLeo and e8ndave, forearm parallel with the ground with wrists in a neutral/relaxed position is the best way to go while standing or sitting with good posture.
