Hi,
Has anyone else using a control pedal to transition morph control noticed a really jumpy fade? I'm using EV-5 and seems anything but smooth when morph assigning for something like the instrument volume for instance. I've made sure that the pedal model is selected in system menu (even tried EV7 setting which I thought improved it a little) but still seems a really rough fade from 25% - 100% on the EV5 and Yamaha pedal I have.
Has anyone else noticed this, could it just be a pedal issue rather than Nord? (I'm currently using Stage 2 EX but I'm not sure if it's even a Nord issue...)

Well, I'm using the Yamaha FC7 for volume control and swell control on my C2 and the Stage 2 and never felt anything wrong.....Before buying them, I browsed a lot on this forum to get feelings about this and FC7 appeared to be the best....

What level of gain you set for the FC7?
TKS in advance.
Luigi.

Re: Expression Pedal Jumping Not Smooth
I was at zero at first but wanted a bit more recently due to guitar and bass too loud so, I think I put it at +2.

The gain parameter of NS2 pedals has nothing to do with "loudness", it is applied to the "signal" (resistance value read) returned by the Ctrl/swell expression pedal input, to compensate the individual pedal tolerances and ensure it swings properly from 0 to 100%... think of it as a fine tuning of the pedal response curve

Have you tried swapping out the TRS cable to see if it is causing a problem?

Re: Expression Pedal Jumping Not Smooth
On my NS2 88 Rev A I use the FC7 with Gain = 7. If I set it with a lower value when i press control pedal the value controlled isn't stable.
It seems pulsing.

You should check your FC7 with a multimeter then ... sounds like a faulty/dirty pot or faulty cable.

EV 5 pot gets dirty very easily. Needs contact cleaner often. My FC7 is great. I've had good luck with Korg EXP-2 also.
