Hi, bit off topic probably, but here goes. I play keys in a professional band, up until now our rep has been all dance floor stuff, but we're starting to get gigs which include a meal (for the guests that is). I've been asked if I can play some 'dinner music' as a solo pianist, no problem with that although personally I prefer my meals music-free. Anyway, just wondering whether anyone has suggestions for stuff that's suitable, and is not a cliche. No Billy Joel, Glenn Campbell, Beatles and all the other usual songs that everyone's heard a zillion times. Something a bit less well known would be ideal, maybe light jazz piano pre 60s. Any suggestions??
