Control Pedals

Hey people,

After browsing the internet (not as hard as I should have) I decided to buy the BOSS FV-500L to use as an expression pedal, which I assume is the same as a control pedal? For my Nord Stage 2. However when I went to set the pedal up in the system menu it looks like the pedal isn't compatible and when assigning the pedal to do things it doesn't work. Am I missing a step or have I wasted some money? Any information would be useful, does anyone use the BOSS FV-500L successfully on the Nord Stage 2?

I have an FV-500L with works fine with the Stage. it's a Roland company so use the Roland setting in the menu. You need to connect a stereo (TRS) jack lead between the EXP output of the pedal and the Control Pedal input of the Stage. Also make sure that the Minimum Volume knob on the side of the pedal is set to the "Min" position.
