Re: Can I really not carry over a previous sound!!!!?????

Confirmed. Changing programs causes cessation of audio to allow the engines to set themselves up for producing the newly selected sound. Programs consist of two slots, A and B. Thus, it is possible to change/morph between slots within a single program. No program change, no cessation of audio output.

Bless, Pablo

The Yamaha Motif does this flawlessly.

I also think it's absolutely pathetic that Nord can't figure this out. I too switched from a Motif to an Electro, and aside from the no carryover issue, I love my Nord. BUT, that issue is f**** MASSIVE and they need to fix it.

They have fixed it in new models, at least the NS3 line. That I believe requires a "hidden engine" however which is a probably hardware mod, I don't think this is fixable in software - I wouldn't hold your breath.

a) This was comprehensively addressed in this thread already, more than a year ago. What the Motif can do — seamlessly blend between individual elements of a multi, the Nord Stage 2 can do also, but it only has two slots (A&B) in a program to do so. The Motif can NOT blend between different programs.

b) The Nord Stage 3 fully addressed this last year, as has the recently announced Electro 6.

Welcome to 2017.

You can pick fault with certain features of any board. I think its quite pathetic that Yamaha cant build the Motif to weigh less than 50 tons and be smaller than an aircraft carrier ;)

Ill keep my Stage 2 thanks :)
