hey there.
I have Nord electro 3, using 1/4 inch Ouputs (Left and Right) to RCA on the Line in out my Evo 4 Mixer and Im only getting the Right Channel sound, nothing is coming down the left channel.
I verified the line in ports on the mixer (tested with other equipment).
I verified that the system is in St (Stereo Mode) in option 2 in the program area.
I verified that cable as well (in fact got some news ones to be sure and the right one is working).
Any suggestions on how I can make the left sound ouput work?
Anyone know what the best way to find a repair shop / get this fixed would be?
Thanks alot all!

Re: Stereo Outputs on Nord electro 3 Problem
Hello lmcdasm,
Welcome to the forums.
I would again verify that SYSTEM Menu page 2 is set for ST and not SP or SO.
What instrument is coming from the Right channel?
You may contact Nord, they are quick to respond.
Cheers, Hanon

Re: Stereo Outputs on Nord electro 3 Problem
hey there..
Thanks for the reply, I will definitely try the link.
I have confirmed i have Stereo mode (ST) set.
it doesnt matter which instrument that i set the keyboard on, i dont get any sound from my left channel.. Grand Piano (1a program for example) or organs, samples, anything imported from Sound manager, etc.
Cheers and thanks again!

Hey there.
When you mentioned that Clavia site usually gets back pretty quick.. did you mean a couple days or a couple weeks?
Thanks

Usually within a day or two during the normal work week, holidays excluded.
You didn't indicate which instruments were present in the output that you can hear (left).
I assume that any instrument that you play (piano, organ, or sample) is there, just not in stereo.
Also, does it sound normal through headphones?
Given the circumstances, it may be a hardware failure and need to be returned for repair or exchange.
Cheers, hanon

Re: Stereo Outputs on Nord electro 3 Problem
hey there..
Thanks - ill be a little more patient..
Sorry - i thought I replied about the intstrument question - yes, its the same regardless of the instrument choosen (from basic Grand 1a all the way through my sounds).
Headphones work in Stereo, just nadda out the left channel.. i think maybe its broken and not a "setting".
Cheerz and thanks!

I quite agree.
There are some secret reset and diagnostic button combinations that Nord shares on a case-by-case basis.
So there is a possibility that it might not have to go back to the dealer.
Let's hope...

Re: Stereo Outputs on Nord electro 3 Problem
As a temporary solution you could use a y-splitter from the headphone output.
This would give you a somewhat "hotter" signal but with the correct cable would work just fine.
Even a regular 1/4 inch cable will work out of the headphone output although you will still be getting one side of the signal that is present.
Good Luck,

Good Luck,
It is a good workaround
