Postby jazzman » 12 Jul 2016, 13:27

Hey Nord people,

has any of you tried to wash the classic red gig bag in a regular 'round' washing machine?
i need to clean mine Stage 73 bag after i left it on the ground in a dressing room at the open air festival and then the rain went down

I would hand wash with a carpet cleaner solution.

@jazzman, Did you actually put the bag in a washing machine? Was the bag OK after this?
It was bound to happen to me. Someone spilled beer all over my 5D bag last week. Fortunately my rig was set up so it's just the bag that needs to be cleaned. I haven't done anything except try to dry it out and spray on some deodorizer. I don't see any care instructions for the bag at the Nord site, and I'm afraid to get it very wet because I don't want to ruin its structural integrity if there is cardboard inside.

Hey, cEgws

no, i ended up with hand washing the gig bag since there's no way i can fit it into the washing machine due to its size.
i did a couple of cleaning rounds in the bath and then just hang it at the balcony.
the cardboard seems ok after that.
