Hi Norder's
I've lost the slider of the main zipper of my NE 3/73 soft-case (the zipper extremity of the exemplary I bought was not sewn to the bag). I'm looking for to replace this slider. Any information about the specifications (dimensions) of the zipper/slider for this case would be welcome. Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.
Regards
Hugues

Re: NE 3 73 Softcase - Looking for info about the zipper
Although not specifically about the Nord case. but I had the whole zipper in a soft case for an FP-8 replaced at an upholstery shop. This shop did furniture as well as boat covers etc. He had the heavy duty zipper for the case as well as the industrial machine to do the work. If it is just the slider (referred to as the truck) you need to replace I might just take the case to one of these types of fellows. Cheers and Good Luck Mike

Definitively a good idea to take your gigbag to an expert to get it fixed.
As for the specifications, no idea, guess there are thousands of them. In terms of dimensions, the truck is fairly large, like 1.5cm length x 1.4cm (max)width. But in any case you should have two of them right to get the exact values etc?

Re: NE 3 73 Softcase - Looking for info about the zipper
Thanks for your help guys. Sadly I was already on tour when you posted your tip.
I went to a specialist. We tried tons of a sliders but none fits to the zipper. The only option was to replace the whole zipper. But it would have cost me more than two third of the price of a brand new soft case (sewers are expensive in the civilization of planned obsolescence). As I had to go on tour the next day, I reluctantly opted for the ‘new case’ option.
I’m a tad disappointed that Nord did not bother to answer to my message on their support page. After all, the slider fell from the zipper because there was no stop point at all on the zipper with the case they sold me.
You’re right Johannes. But the remaining slider closed the bag at its bottom. When you bring it on your back, closing it that way is really dangerous for the keyboard. If ever the zip slides a bit, the instrument can slip and fall on to the ground. It happened to one of my friends.
